Yudhoyono commemorates Pancasila Sanctity Day

Padang ekspres.net-President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono commemorates on Friday morning the Pancasila Sanctity Day, which falls on Oct. 1, in a ceremony at Pancasila Sakti Monument in Lubang Buaya, Cipayung district, East Jakarta.

The President acts as the inspector of the ceremony attended by Indonesian Military (TNI) soldiers, Pramuka (Scout) members and students, according to kompas.com.

High-ranking officials present at the ceremony include First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, Vice President Boediono and his wife Herawati Boediono, Cabinet ministers, TNI/National Police, ambassadors and other guests.

Cabinet ministers attending the ceremony, according to kompas.com, are, among others, Minister of Marine Resources and Fisheries Fadel Muhammad, Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa and Transportation Minister Freddy Numberi.

Security around the Pancasila Sakti monument has been tightened, including along major roads leading to the monument. Police officers and soldiers are seen in a standby in nearly all corners of the roads.
