Padang Ekspres.net-As many as 3,000 police officers have been deployed to secure the second leg match of the 2010 Asean Football Federation (AFF) Cup semifinal between Indonesian and the Philippines tonight.
“We are all ready to safeguard the match,” Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Baharudin Djafar said Sunday as quoted by kompas.com
Baharuddin said some 900 police officers had been assigned to handle traffic around the Gelora Bung Karno stadium where the match will be played.
“The security of the President, who will watch the match tonight, will be taken care by the Presidential Security Force,” he said.
The match begins at 7 p.m.
