Category III AFF final match tickets selling at regular price

Padang Ekspres.net-The Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI) has decided to sell Category III tickets to the final AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 match between Indonesia and Malaysia in Jakarta at the regular price.

A member of the local committee of the Cup, Joko Driyono, said PSSI chairman Nurdin Halid had instructed staff to reduce the ticket price after mounting complaints about the price increase, including by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Wednesday.

Tickets for Category III seats at Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta are sold at Rp 50,000 (US$5.50) each on regular days. The PSSI, however, had increased the price to Rp 75,000 for the final match on Dec. 29.

“We reduced the ticket price to normal for Category III seats starting from today. For other categories, the prices remain as earlier stated,” Joko said as quoted by Antara.

There are 30,000 available Category III tickets, which the PSSI will start selling Sunday.

So far it has only started selling Category I tickets, priced at Rp 200,000 per ticket. The PSSI is offering 24,000 tickets in this category.

It will start selling 16,000 Category II tickets Friday, priced at Rp 150,000 per ticket.

VVIP tickets, priced at Rp 1 million per ticket, and VIP tickets, which are between Rp 350,000 and Rp 500,000 per ticket, will be available online at www.ticketsas.com starting Saturday.
