BNP2TKI receives ambulance, 50 trolleys National Agency for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (BNP2TKI) on Friday received an ambulance and 50 trolleys as part of a grant from a private company to offer better care to returning migrant workers.

"An ambulance is essential to take care of injured workers or to transport those who have died," PT Paladin International president director Surachman Jusuf said Friday.

Surachman said that trolley would be used by the workers to carry their luggage at the airport.

BNP2TKI chairman Jumhur Hidayat said that agency would maintain the ambulance and trolleys.

"We will use the ambulance and trolleys to increase our services to the workers," he said. "They work very hard overseas, therefore we should offer them comfort upon their return."

Last week, the BNP2TKI signed an MoU with PT Nurkumala Abadi to provide cell phones for migrant workers sent to South Korea to improve communications among the workers in an effort to reduce incidents of abuse in the workplace. (aaa)
